Even though it may appear to be too early, now is the best time to send Christmas gifts for missionaries to assure that they will be delivered before Christmas. This is the definitive gift guide for your missionary, packed with thoughtful presents that won't break the bank.

The bag can be worn comfortably across the front or against the back of the wearer, and it features an adjustable shoulder strap, a large internal compartment that has been specifically designed to organize missionary materials such as scriptures and an electronic device, two zipper pockets, and a magnetic closure pocket.

Each set includes nine handcrafted pieces and a bag with a drawstring closure. There may be some little color variation across the pieces and bags.
4. Diorama Nativity
Enjoy the holiday by creating a straightforward diorama nativity scene to display. This nativity scene, which can be folded up and is constructed of sturdy paper, would be an excellent Christmas gift for someone serving as a missionary or for someone who is constantly on the go but still wants to be reminded of the true meaning of the holiday season. This Christmas, observe the birth of Christ in the most straightforward manner possible, and give the people you care about a gift that will be convenient for them to use year after year.
5. Missionary Christmas Tree
Even missionaries like to decorate for the Christmas season. This miniature Christmas tree measures 16 inches tall and comes with a stand and a variety of brilliant red decorations. This foldable and inexpensive Christmas tree is perfect for bringing some holiday cheer into even the most drab of missionary apartments.
6. Marble Christus 3"
At barely 3 "tall, this Christus is compact enough to be transported easily and is extremely ornamental; it is ideal for missionaries who are short on room. This miniature statue represents Jesus Christ exactly as he is described in the Bible. He is standing before us with his arms wide, as if inviting us to "Come unto Me."
7. Christmas Tree Necktie
These ties are exceptionally crafted and would make the ideal complement to any man's suit due to their composition (100 percent silk outer layer and 100 percent wool interlining). These neckties, which come in a total of 12 different designs, would be an ideal Christmas gift for missionaries and would be an asset to his wardrobe.
8. Leave a Note Kit
Help your missionary show members and investigators their gratitude in a personal way with this portable thank you note kit. Included in the package are ten note cards, ten envelopes, a ballpoint pen, and a guidebook titled "Note Writer's Guidebook."
9. Hand of God
This print represents Christ reaching down into the river as though to give His hand to save, elevate, and soothe those who are there. The image of Christ encouraging Peter to walk on the water and then being there to save him as he began to sink in the water comes to mind as a result of this. Additionally, it is easy to transport, takes up little space, and would be a wonderful and meaningful addition to the holiday care package you send to your missionary.
10. Merry Christmas Missionary Tie Bar
Your missionary will be encouraged and reminded of how proud you are of them when they receive this stunning silver tie bar along with a congratulatory note. It will also provide them with an easy way to spruce up their attire.
11. Merry Christmas Missionary Necklace
Any sister missionary will benefit greatly from wearing this tiny gold necklace as a wonderful reminder of her vocation and heavenly calling.
12. Missionary Message to the World
Send this lovely plaque to someone you care about so that they can keep it on display and read the following motivational message from Jeffery R. Holland every day: "I promise that because of your steadfast answer to the call to spread the gospel, He will bind up your broken hearts, dry your tears, and set you and your families free. I say this because of your faithful response to the call to share the gospel. That is the missionary vow I make to you, and that is the message you should take to the world.

The cheerful presentation of the box, which allows for the addition of a number of different sweets and items that are essential to the work of the mission, is certain to put a smile on their face.
16. Mission Rings
These stunning mission rings are the perfect way to honor and remember the most formative two years or 18 months of your missionary's life. On each ring is either the name of the mission, an outline of the state in which they are serving, or the flag of the nation in which they are stationed.
17. Mission Scriptures
Celebrate your missionary with these customized scriptures that may be made precisely for you by selecting from a variety of different options. Make a one-of-a-kind memento for your missionary that they will be able to hold onto and treasure for the rest of their lives.
18. Daily Inspirations Calendar
There are few things that missionaries love more than inspirational quotes. Your missionary will be able to begin each day with a fresh inspirational quotation that is sure to enliven their spirits and assist them in feeling prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead thanks to our Daily Inspirations Calendar.
19. Mission Journal
Send your missionary a personalized journal that they will look back on with so many fond memories after they return home. Because they come with a number of different customization choices, these diaries can be individualized to meet the needs of a particular missionary.
20. Custom Mission Keychain
Our personalized mission keychains are the ideal Christmas gift for missionaries in your life who are currently serving full-time since they may be attached to their bag while they are away and then become a treasured memento after they return home. Because there are so many ways in which it may be customized, this present can be transformed into something that will be treasured for a very long time.
21. Mission Ornaments
The majority of missions give their missionaries the opportunity to either decorate their very own Christmas tree or add ornaments to one that is already present in their mission home. Send your missionary a beautiful ornament that they may hang to celebrate the good experiences they have had while serving their mission while also serving as a reminder of the love and support they have received from their family.
22. Mission Plaques
It is almost as if having a mission plaque is now required to serve a mission, and we have a wide variety of excellent choices for you to select from in order to locate the plaque that will be ideal for presenting to your missionary over the holiday season.
With all of these wonderful suggestions, you shouldn't have any trouble finding the ideal present for your missionary this year. You can find even more goods that might not have made it into this list by clicking here to visit the LDS Bookstore.
23. Advent Calendar Christmas Chain
The creation of an Advent Calendar Chain is an excellent concept that is suggested by Missionary Moms. To prepare this Christmas gift, cut 25 strips of red and green paper into strips. Have a member of the missionary's family or a friend who is also serving write a note on each strip of paper. You can make the chain by taping or stapling the first strip into a circle, then sliding the next strip into the hole in the circle, and then taping or stapling that strip into a circle as well, and so on and so forth.
On the exterior of each chain, write the dates beginning on December 1 and ending on December 25 in a manner that is sequential. Fold the chain into a shape that will allow it to fit inside an envelope. Your missionary will have fun taking apart a chain each day and reading a note from a family member or friend back home.
24. “Say Cheese” Picture
It's common for missionaries to experience homesickness, especially around the holidays. Therefore, sending them images is the best method to make them feel like they have some connection to home. Send photographs of your loved ones, friends, and pets, as well as cherished moments and other things. Your missionary is going to have a good time gazing at these images and thinking about all of the individuals who are praying for them.
You could simply submit the photographs, or you could put on your artistic hat and make them into a colorful collage. Both options are available to you. Make the creation of your missionary's collage a family affair by having everyone help out with tasks like cutting paper, gluing pictures, and anything else that has to be done. Send your missionary images of previous Christmases if you wish to keep with the holiday spirit of your correspondence.
25. Butcher Paper Christmas Tree
“Butcher Paper Christmas Tree 1.” You may make your own Christmas tree decoration by purchasing green butcher paper and then cutting it into the shape of a tree. The Christmas tree should then be split up into jigsaw pieces, and each piece should have a message written on it by a member of the family or a friend. Send your missionary the individual pieces of the puzzle so that they can read the messages as they are putting together their Christmas tree.
“Butcher Paper Christmas Tree 2” uses the same concept, but with a different twist. Folding your butcher paper Christmas tree so that it can be easily mailed is a better option than chopping it up into puzzle pieces. After that, use the red and white paper to cut out circles and place them inside the envelope along with the Christmas tree. Your loved ones and friends can write notes on the paper circles. These paper circles are going to be your missionary's decorations for the butcher paper Christmas tree that she is decorating.
26. Christmas Carols
Don't forget to bring your family's Christmas carols to your missionary! Make a recording of your family singing Christmas tunes and send it out to family and friends. Your missionary will value the opportunity to get to know you better and to hear the voices of those they care about.
You may also put together a CD of inspirational songs to send to your missionary if singing isn't truly a family tradition in your home. Ensure that the music is in a genre that they enjoy listening to (I recommend The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square), and give them a taste of the holiday season by sending them songs about Christmas.
27. Quotation-A-Day - quote jar
Begin your search for great and motivational quotations right away! The scriptures, general authorities, persons who have positively impacted the world, and even your next-door neighbor are all possible sources for these quotations. You should write the quotations on pieces of paper and then enclose them in an envelope before sending them to your missionary. Once per day, your missionary should select a paper at random from the stack, read the inspirational quote on it, and then return the paper to the pile.
28. Money Bills
Okay, so in most cases, people consider this to be a kind of lame gift. However, I have yet to come across a missionary who does not require some financial assistance. It may be simpler to provide your missionary with the means to buy a present for themselves by loading some money onto their debit card in the event that the goods you send have difficulty reaching their destination (and sending them a heartfelt note as well).
29. Good Things Come in Small Packages
Here are a few more ideas for Christmas gifts for missionaries that are easy to make but great to receive. However, all that is required of them this time is a box that is either tiny or medium in size. The majority of these Christmas gifts for missionaries, which range from delectables to favorites to essentials, do not require a large box nor a hefty delivery expense.
30. Warm Fleece Socks
They will be able to ward off the icy conditions and stay toasty warm all day thanks to these great and adorable socks.
They are aware of what is required of them if they have been serving for more than two weeks.
Are you able to knit? Can you paint? Do you know how to create a truly delicious caramel? Send a homemade present to your missionary by putting some of the skills and abilities God has given you to good use. Are you able to write? Compose a humorous song for your missionary to sing about Christmas or the work they do. Can you crochet? Make a cozy cap for your missionary to keep them from getting cold. There is no limit to the possibilities.
31. Sweet Tooth - Candy Canes
It almost seems like a waste of time to consider sending some candies or chocolates to your missionary as a Christmas present. Believe me when I say that they will value it, particularly if they are serving in a location where it is difficult for them to obtain a variety of candies that are already familiar to them. Therefore, you should give them a package including their preferred candy bar, an assortment of other candies, or candy canes. Be aware, however, that if your missionary is stationed in a region with a higher average temperature, the chocolate you send them may arrive melted (though a little melted chocolate never hurt anyone).
32. “Wish You Were Here” Envelopes
I was kidding when I mentioned the idea of sending a postcard from Utah to my brother who was serving a mission in Bulgaria, and I fully anticipated that my parents would laugh at me for being such a foolish child. Imagine how shocked I was when they actually took my suggestion into consideration. Even though this is more of a joke than it is a gift, carrying it out is still a lot of fun. Choose some of the most absurd postcards that may be found in your native state and send them to someone else. They ought to provide your missionary with a hearty belly laugh.
33. Music
Save your missionary from six months of the same CD by refreshing their music collection.
When purchasing a new CD for your missionary, always keep in mind the direction given in the missionary handbook:
“Listen only to music that is consistent with the sacred spirit of your calling. Music should invite the Spirit, help you focus on the work, and direct your thoughts and feelings to the Savior. Do not listen to music that pulls your thoughts away from your work, merely entertains, has romantic lyrics or overtones, or dulls your spiritual sensitivity by its tempo, beat, loudness, lyrics, or intensity. Listening to music must never interfere with your personal preparation or proselyting.”
34. Pullover Hoodie
Keep your missionary warm with this pullover hoodie. This item can be customizable with a name, ward, or other custom text.
35. Basic Necessities
Missionaries are always in need of some basic necessities. Most are easy to ship, cost-effective, and will be used consistently. Some of our readers suggested:
- Soaps and other bathroom supplies
- Sticky notes
- A Teflon plan with a non-stick spatula
- Gift cards or cash
- Razors and shaving supplies
- Shoe polish kits
- Sewing kits…
Another reader mentioned laundry supplies:“I think that an iron and a white cotton cloth is perfect, so that they can keep creases on their pants, what you do you put the white cotton cloth over the pants that you are going to crease, that way your pants don’t get shiny as you iron them.”
